So I am planning on buying an iPad with Retina Display 32 GB. I am leaning towards the WiFi and 3G, but I am not completely sure how the month-to-month 3G works. I would be going through AT&T.
Can anyone explain to me how it works? My cellphone is on my parents account. Would I have to pay AT&T a "start up fee?" Or just the monthly fee when I use the 3G? Do I have to set up the AT&T account right away? Please help me understand how this works. I don't want to pay the extra $ for the WiFi and 3G if I'm going to have to pay a ridiculous amount for the account.
Also, I am planning on going into an Apple Store when I go to buy the iPad. My nearest Apple Store is at least an hour away. Do I need to schedule an appointment if I am just making a purchase? We bought both of my iPhones at AT&T, so I don't know the "protocol" for the actual Apple Store.
